WHAT MAKES JODENSAVANNE UNIQUE?
The Jodensavanne archeological site as presented on the 1998 tentative UNESCO world heritage list consists of two historically linked sites, namely the Cassipora Creek Cemetery and the Jodensavanne settlement. It stands out in comparison to other diasporic Jewish sites in the Atlantic World, Leghorn, the World Heritage List and Tentative List
WHY SHOULD IT BE WORLD HERITAGE?
Jodensavanne and the Cassipora Creek Cemetery (as a remnant of the Cassipora Creek Jewish community) are of outstanding universal value for mankind.
